Today, a psychiatrist who visited our stall, picked up the Jigsaw puzzles, Jenga, Pentaminos, and Tangram all in a matter of a few minutes. She said she was buying it for her patients who are generally over the age of 60 years.
I was surprised to know the scope of these puzzles - not only are they for kids, but also for adults and senior citizens.
Further, I learnt that puzzles lower stress levels, delays dementia, and Alzheimer’s. Additionally, they improve memory and help in problem solving.
Here is a wonderful article that I came across, highlighting more about the same: https://examinedexistence.com/how-puzzles-help-people-senior-citizens/.
